A Canadian lingerie chain, similar to Victoria's Secret, is named 'La Senza'. To the best of my knowledge, the word 'senza' is a preposition meaning 'without', rather than a noun that follows the direct article 'la'. Would the company's name translate literally as 'The Without'? If I am misled, please accordingly advise me. I am forwarding what I consider to be another nonsensical example. It shows a queue of bewildered customers (presumably at Starbucks) gazing at the menu and wondering what language it's in. "Is it French or is it Italian-perhaps Fritalian they sing". The announcer then voices over that at Dunkin' Donuts, you can order in English, not Fritalian. What is a Vente anyway?
